I was an intern at the Maryland Historical Society for five months starting in January, 2014. I processed the Hutzler Photograph collection containing over 2,700 photos of Baltimore’s bygone department store, Hutzler Brothers Company. While perusing the myriad topics ranging from Baltimore landmarks, Hutzler employees and local events, some photos lent themselves to deeper exploration. ย After much curiosity, researching and uncovering, I wrote the following articles for MdHS’s blog Underbelly.
